EZ just whipped up this super duper slick video featuring downtown Wichita! You can't deny it our downtown is pretty cool! This was built with mostly HD footage from our existing library. A handful of shots were uprez'd. As always Eric created this masterpiece in final cut on his macbook pro. We always appreciate feedback so let us know what you think!

Eric's Back and the Office Still Stands Thanks to Trusty dBC Crew

Eric is back in the digitalBRAND office after being gone on family leave but returning one day early. (Hooray for Lauren! Keep getting better!) The dBC crew was hard at work at the new studio. Jacque and Eron were able to finish a ton of video production work around Wichita. We'll be posting the progress on Vimeo soon so stay tuned.

The video project was sponsored by Cessna, Spirit Aerosystems, Wesley Medical Center, Via Christi Health System, Bombardier Learjet, Aeroflex, Wichita Public Schools, Wichita Clinic, Hawker Beechcraft. "Wichita: We Found It Here" is a recruiting tool for bringing high end workers to Wichita. It's being officially released soon...but check out the Chamber's booth at ExpoVenture on Sept. 23, 2008 for more information.

Knight Foundation Video Wins Telly Award

Knight Foundation Video Wins National Telly Award

A video highlighting early education initiatives in Wichita funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has been awarded a national Telly Award. The video won bronze in the Charitable/Not-For-Profit category.

The video was produced by Knight Foundation program director Anne Corriston, communication and consulting firm Bothner and Bradley Inc., and digitalBRAND Communications.

The video features two early education programs at work in Wichita: TOP Learning Centers and Wichita CARES, a partnership that included USD 259 early education and Parents as Teachers programs, Sedgwick County Healthy Babies, and the Center for Health and Wellness.

digitalBRAND Communications (dBC), a Wichita-based video production company, spent last May filming the transformational process created by the two programs.

"This award really reflects the quality of the grant programs that were highlighted,” said Anne Corriston. “We have been very fortunate to work with wonderful partners at TOP and Wichita CARES, as well as our production team, and it’s a pleasure to share this award with them.”

In its 29th year, the Telly Awards were founded in 1980 to recognize outstanding non-network and cable TV commercials and winners include the nation's top agencies and production houses from a field of more than 10,000 entrants in 2007.

Okay, after a short delay here's a cool clip from Craig Owens and Bodo Ensemble live at the Fisch Haus Studios in Wichita. (one of our all-time favorite places to film!) Many thanks to Craig for hiring us to produce this video. Also thanks to Rik Dubiel for editing this, Jon Cyphers for tracking it, and Mark Schelgten for the post production mix. If you like this video, tell Craig and maybe he'll want to release the whole performance on cd and/or dvd. And of course, many thanks to everyone at Fisch Haus for having us!

BWCU TV Spots

Here are two TV Spots digitalBrand worked on: We Lend and the brand new Green Account spot we worked on for BWCU.

Both were shot in HD video with the HVX200 with 35mm adapter.

We Lend was shot @ homes in Wichita including College Hill.

Green was shot in downtown Wichita outside the Kress Energy Center, the other AT&T building, and Cafe Modern in Old Town. The TV spots are airing in Wichita and Lawrence, Kansas.

Envision @ the Zoo

April 19, 2008...a picture perfect day weather-wise, finally! Might as well be hanging out at the zoo. digitalBrand (dBC) and Co. went and captured video and still images of Envision clients at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas. Envision is an organization that serves people who are blind or low vision. For many years now, Envision has commissioned bronze sculptures of zoo animals along with large print descriptions and also in braille. We shot some high def plus some standard and plenty of stills. Stay tuned for a complete video highlighting this cool feature of the zoo.

Kirk Rundstrom Band Official DVD Release

We are announcing the release of the official DVD of Kirk Rundstrom Band Live at the Fisch Haus.

The film will be screened on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Fisch Haus Studios, 524 S. Commerce Street in Wichita, KS at 6PM.

The film originally aired on KPTS-8 on February 23, 2008 and was produced by Eric Zoller at digitalBrand, Rhizome Productions, Lonny Quattlebaum and Jedd Beaudoin.

On Final Friday, April 25, Lisa Rundstrom will present new works in Underneath the Electric Garden from 7 to 10 at Fisch Haus Studios.
